AWARDS

At the conclusion of the CANCUNMUN conference, the following awards will be presented to recognize delegates who have demonstrated outstanding performance, leadership, and diplomacy throughout the event.

Awards (listed in order of prestige)

BEST DELEGATE

Awarded to the most exceptional delegate in each committee. This delegate consistently displays advanced debate, negotiation, and public speaking skills. While often the sponsor of the winning resolution, this is not a requirement. The Best Delegate is someone who plays a key role in advancing the committee to a consensus.

Type of award: Acrylic trophy and certificate

HONORABLE MENTION FOR BEST DELEGATE

Awarded to a delegate who made a significant contribution to the committee’s work and had excellent public speaking skills. This may include, but is not limited to, being a signatory of the winning resolution or contributing to the failing resolution.

Type of award: Certificate

BEST DIPLOMAT

Awarded to the delegate who demonstrated exemplary diplomatic conduct throughout the conference. These individuals were instrumental in encouraging collaboration, supporting teamwork, and helping the committee move forward in constructive and inclusive ways. Their leadership often extended beyond formal presentations like resolutions, showing commitment to the overall success of the group.

Type of award: Certificate

VERBAL COMMENDATION

This recognition is given to delegates who stood out during the conference for their skills.

Type of award: Verbal recognition during the closing ceremony

ELIGIBILITY FOR ALL AWARDS

To be eligible for any of the above awards, delegates must meet the following criteria:

Submission of completed position papers for both committee topics (the use of AI is prohibited for both papers)
Full attendance at all scheduled sessions
Consistent demonstration of respectful and professional behavior
