AD-HOC CRISIS COMMITTEE
MATIAS MARTINEZ
Chair
Welcome Delegates,

My name is Matias Martinez and I'm more than happy to guide this new committee into the conference and to be your Chair for AD-HOC Crisis in CancunMUN 2024. I am a 17 year old senior in the International American School of Cancun. In my freetimeI enjoy going to the gym, playing soccer or tennis. I also enjoy spending time with my family and loved ones. After graduating from highschool I would love to move to the Netherlands or Spain to study architecture.

CancunMUN 2024 will be my third year participating in the conference. I was a part of CancunMUN 2022 and CancunMUN 2023; in both of these conferences I was a Senator of the United States Senate. The AD-HOC Crisis committee is meant to address and solve urgent situations which require immediate action and solution.
Delegates must respond to rapidly changing circumstances and make decisions in real-time. They are expected to be respectful, professional and active so everyone can have a pleasant experience during the conference. I'm looking forward to getting to meet you all, and I expect the best from every single one of you. Remember that your background guide should not be your only source of information. Having proper information researched from valid sources is a must have for the conference.

I'm looking forward to this conference being amazing, good luck to everyone! Any questions or concerns please conatact me at matias.martinez@ciac.edu.mx

LIAT ISRAEL
Co-Chair
Hello Delegates,

I am Liat Israel. I'm 16 years old and this year I will be your AD-HOC
Crisis Committee Co-chair. I’m excited to lead this new committee and ensure a professional and enjoyable experience for all participants. I am currently a junior at International American School of Cancun. In my free time I like going to the beach with my friends, baking and playing the piano. When I graduate, I would like to take a gap year and travel,
then I want to study psychology.

I’ve been a part of Model UN for 2 years, being this my third year. My last MUN experience was at CancunMUN as a delegate of the World Health Organization. The purpose of the AD-HOC crisis committee is to focus on addressing urgent issues that require immediate attention and action.
I am looking forward to working with you all. I expect you all to assess the situation, develop a response strategy, coordinate resources, and implement measures to solve the crisis effectively. Make sure to use reliable sources and not only the background guide provided for
your investigation; I encourage you all to investigate even further. This will give you confidence on the topics and the country you are representing. This will be duly noted when considering the awards.

Do not hesitate to contact me at israel.l@ciac.edu.mx if you have any questions.
